hi there,
Welcome to the My Mind My Funk (MMMF/M3F) Resource Hub
My Mind My Funk began in 2013 as an extension of founder Sitawa Wafula’s personal blog, where she shared her lived experience with mental health challenges. That act of storytelling helped break the silence around a deeply taboo topic in Africa, sparking conversations that grew into a movement.
Over time, MMMF evolved into a trusted information and support hub, launched Kenya’s first mental health support line, influenced public attitudes, and helped shape policy.
Today, MMMF is a dynamic resource hub supporting the next generation of mental health champions and changemakers (to us that is anyone passionate about transforming mental health across communities, care systems, and conversations).
We equip them with supplementary skills, connect them to support systems through our helpline Directory (a resource to use and share), and link them to meaningful opportunities across the mental health ecosystem.
